When you have children, you have no idea how much time you’re going to spend on the floor. When you’re an adult you’re use to sitting in chairs, and walking from place to place. The only time you sit on the floor is when you have company over, and there’s not enough seats for friends. You choose to  sit cross legged on the floor just as you did in preschool, holding your glass of wine as you peer over the coffee table. If you don’t spend a lot of time on the floor, which I didn’t until Evie was born, you’re body is not use to it. Your lower back hurts, your bum muscles ache. What gets me the most about sitting on the floor is, I get stir crazy, it’s as if I can’t take it for long periods of time. I have to get up and walk around, or go and sit on the couch and watch my daughter from afar.
I’ve just spent the last hour watching Evie from the floor. Making sure she wasn’t going to fall backwards and smash her head. I’ve put Evie to sleep for a nap and here I sit on the couch. Sitting on the floor, sucks, sitting on the couch, good.

A few of you have asked how my Christmas was this year. This picture about sums it up. That is of course a new sweater I got for Christmas, not one I would normally wear with PJ bottoms.
