I really don’t like crying in the theatre. There’s nowhere to go. You’re sitting by strangers feeling vulnerable. I saw The Descendants last night. I was doing fine, the movie is incredible, these two actors pictured above, give performances of their careers. But then it happened. The final scene. Those that know me, people that number around six, may understand why that scene got to me the way it did. To Alexander Payne, being a father of two young girls, the movie you created was perfect. The final scene was beautiful. Thank you.
