Curious….

How many of you have come across a boy with a book collection?

Not a book collection, as in required reading for a university course, or a collection of say a couple dozen books on a night table. But a book collection of shelves of books, or hundreds of books stacked on floors, and chairs.

Personally, I’ve only come across it once, not counting myself. I was just curious on the minority, I’m a part of.

  6. distantheartbeats said: A few. I have some great (guy) friends here who read. The irony for me is that they’re all doing other majors (Physics, Medicine, Ancient History) and those who are doing English Lit don’t read as much! But the ratio of guys:girls is still off.

  12. ladimcbeth said: My grandfather had a sizable collection, my father’s library was only limited by our itinerant lifestyle (Air Force) and has grown since he retired. And the man who holds my heart has a collection to rival my own. You’re in good company.

  17. loveandzombies said: my father owns literally thousands of books. my parents almost got divorced because of how large his collection had become (our house looked like a VERY poorly organized library). he got rid of about 1800 books or so & they are still together.

  20. reflect said: Huh. I’ve never really thought about this. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it except for a boyfriend of a grad school lady friend… Most of the dudes I know have expansive DVD or record collections though.
